Your Tasks

At Employment Psychiatry, we offer four activities for people with mental disabilities who are far from the labor market and socially isolated. We create a predictable daily routine with clear structure and adapted communication. Our participants, aged 18 to 69, have access to a wide range of activities and support tailored to their individual needs.

The position is a combined role where you work during the day on weekdays at the employment facility. In addition, you will have varying working hours every other weekend and on occasional public holidays at a special housing facility.

We strive to always offer the best possible interaction and create engaging activities for our participants. In your work, you will focus on supporting and inspiring so that our participants have a positive and developmental day. The goal is to increase their participation and promote a more independent life.

All our activities are based on respect for the individual, and we place great importance on treatment. The role includes being a contact person and documenting your work. Together with the participants, you will establish implementation plans adapted to their well-being and abilities, and you will continuously follow up and adjust these to support their development.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone with an approved upper secondary education in care and welfare, preferably with a focus on psychiatry, or alternatively a post-secondary education in a relevant field. You have previous work experience with people with mental and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Education in ESL, KIK, or MI is an asset. A B-class driver's license for a manual transmission is required for the position.

You have the ability to adopt a pedagogical approach and the ability to adapt tasks based on the individual's needs and conditions. You are empathetic, attentive, and able to motivate participants. You can plan and structure your work efficiently, where documentation is part of the process, and you are willing to take your own initiatives. You actively contribute ideas to create a workplace where we support, inspire, and appreciate each other. You enjoy collaboration, and your flexibility means you are happy to step in for your colleagues when needed.

Other Information

Before you can be employed, you need to show an approved extract from the police criminal register.

In connection with the interview, you need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of citizenship together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Act.
